The hotel was very comfortable. Large rooms & nice view. The food in the restaurant was excellent. It is very convenient to the Black Forest attractions & Strasbourg, France.
There was no air conditioning, so we were thankful we had brought a fan. We asked for, and paid for a room with a balcony. The balcony was outside of our windows but not private. It was at the end of the hall & was accessible to any guests. Therefore we could not leave our windows or drapes open for fresh air...else someone could look into our room. They did have rooms with private balconies.... Next time we will make sure we specify "private."

Great food and service, locals love it, english speaking, decent room large in size. Under 20 km from Strasborg city limit. Castle across valley, and the scnapps were excellent. Great value. Great experience.
Three things, Reception is at the bar not window, confusing. Parking lot gets very full on saturday nights because again the locals love the food as do I, just expect it. Finally, there is very heavy construction going on out side that hotel cannot avoid, again expect it.

Free Breakfast and a lot of space in the room. No laundry available, but hotel staff washed some soiled clothes for us...very appreciated.
The rooms were very cold upon arrival. Two heaters were inoperative. The staff was able to get one on, and gave an electric heater for the other room because they couldn't fix the other one.

Friendliness of staff. Very nice rooms with a great view. Fantastic food. Value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was a good base for exploring the Black Forest.
Building work right outside a bit noisy, but this will soon finish when the tunnel diverting the n28 is completed.
